Facebook Marketing

Looking Through The Eyes Of A Marketer

Facebook

When we first start out on Facebook we can get all excited and lose the focus and reason why we are on the facebook platform.

We set up a profile without any direction and without taking any marketing skills into consideration. We allow
Everybody and anybody to join us and we don’t categories those people. We want as many Facebook friends as quickly possible, and if you are like I was, thinking short term.

We forget that facebook personal profiles are meant to be that personal, and not a platform for selling our goods and services.
How many times have you been offered a product or service by people that you have never had a conversation with don’t really know. How many times have you been pitched or pitched somebody over the instant messenger.

Now I am not saying that we should not market on Facebook but if we keep facebook as spamming central then Facebook will do a Youtube and start to close accounts on a massive scale. Nobody will be immune to this.

I have put down a few thing that I have learn t over the last few months that I hope will help people when using Facebook to market or brand yourself

Setting Up Your Facebook Personal Profile

Your personal profile is your personal profile not your business or product it is there to brand you when you are looking through the eyes of a marketer. So don’t have your company name or product name in your profile. How would you feel if you built up a strong following only to be shut down by facebook because you had put your company name in the profile. Your personal profile is for you.

When setting your profile check your privacy setting and make sure you don’t have the year of your birth showing, watch out for Identity theft.

Writing Your FB Biography

The bio box in your settings can be a powerful tool and so take a little bit of time designing your bio. Remember that you are on facebook to connect with people but not just anybody you want the movers and shakers so write a good bio. Now one thing that I over looked when I was on facebook was I did not put any keywords in my bio so people that where searching for my services or product could not find me. Facebook is a search engine like Google so when somebody puts in let’s say MLM  into the search bar the facebook spiders will look through peoples profile to find people in MLM so if you have a well crafted bio you will show up.

Also you want to start attracting the right sort of people so the real Facebook players will read your bio before accepting you as a friend.

A big turn off is putting affiliate links in your bio or links to a capture page. I would suggest that you write your biography giving enough detail to tempt people to go and check out your blog/nerve centre so leave a link in saying
Something like

I would love to connect with you on a more personal level to find out more about me please just follow this link or you can Skype me on graham.holdbrook  I love using Skype because you can have a proper conversation  with that person and brake down the all barriers.

Your profile picture should be a picture of you, people want to see you and look in your eyes and get to know you a picture paints a 1000 words rings true.

What should I look for in a Facebook Friend?

  • How many friends have they got?
  • When did they last post on their wall?
  • Is the wall full of spam?
  • How active are they

Look for people with influence people that are active, people that you can learn from. Maybe do some research on the person, google them take a look at his/her blog. So when you ask for the friendship you can comment on their blog, this will set you apart from the 95% of people who don’t make any effort. Start thinking long term and quality rather than quantity.

Start to segregate your friends into list so that you can build stronger relationships with the leaders. Its time to stand out from the crowd on Facebook

One last tip is start to build relationships with group administrators. Look for well run  active groups with lots of members and then start to build a long term relationship with them for future JV.

Facebook Lead Generation For Newbies

Question: Why do I and so many other people love Facebook ? Easy!

Facebook Lead Generation.

Ok why is facebook so powerful? and why are Internet marketers getting so excited about marketing on line with Facebook?

Well it may have something to do with over 500, million active people on Facebook per month or it could be the fact that you can sort people by age, sex, likes and disklikes, to a marketer or anybody in home business that is massive. You can talk to people who want to buy your products and services.

You can generate a ton of free qualified leads for your On-line or off line business, which is good, because…. I think we all know lead generation Is the name of the game. No leads No business.

Targeted Facebook Lead Generation and why you should utilize this powerful tool.

Facebook is powerful once you learn the skill and understand the psychology behind Facebook.

The easiest way to explain Facebook is to imagine that each page is a room in your house.

Your house is a happy house because you have full control of who you let in and who you kick out. Ok with me so far.

Now when your new to Facebook, Most people, not all, are like a teenager who throw a big party while his or her folks are away on holiday.

Facebook Lead Generation

Instead of vetting your friend you just accept everybody who ask and you invite people to the party who have nothing in common with you, and they wreck the joint.

They come into your Facebook house and leave crap all over your carpet.

They leave spam they don’t give good conversation, they are not interested in what you are about, as a person, they think Me Me Me and short term.

Facebook is a Massive world Party, and you my friend have been invited.
Don’t be the fool at the party be the Mr Cool at the party.

Let Me Show You How to be Mr Cool

If you are on Facebook for business then generating massive amounts of leads for your business should be your main focus, Now that being said the cool thing about this is it is really fun when you learn the skill. The Idea is to build a strong following that then transfer to your list. With this article we are starting from the basics.

Now Facebook Lead Generation starts right at the application stage, with your name!

Ok you would not go to a party and say Hi My name is Awesome MLM nice to meet you, would you? Would YOU!

So put your real name in the application form, that is a must, stipulated by facebook, they will shut your account down if they dont like what you are doing and not playing by the rules.

Now before you go to the Facebook party, How are You Going To dress?

Peoples first impressions count, I will say that again… First Impressions Count, are you listening Billy Bob! (this is not directed at you if your name is Bill Bob)

Your Profile Picture

1) Firstly upload a nice warm photograph of yourself, Smiling, please note that you are branding yourself as a Leader and a picture paints a thousand words so a good photo is a must.

2) When telling people about your background you should keep to the point. If they want to know more about you send them to your Blogs to find out more about you, leave a link to your blog, Not to a squeeze page or a replicated site. So, a little bit about you and what you do, hobbies books, film…. Etc, Ok we are talking about your profile here however you are a marketer so slip some keywords in your profile that are relevant to your product and service, Put your marketers head on whe writing your profile.

You don’t tell people you have only just met at a party every last detail, make them want to know more about you, and the way they find out more you is at your blog, Your Nerve Center. If you are struggling building a blog fill in the form at the side and I will point you in the right direction.

3) One of the most important places on your profile is the little box under
your photograph. People look at your photo and then glance at the small headline, so make it short and to the point with your blog url inserted, or the url, where you would like them to go.

4) In the information box below your picture you can put in your websites.
I suggest that you do, but not a URL going back to a company website. Don’t forget we are branding your business and you as a leader.

What’s On Your Mind?

The status bar that says what’s on your mind is a very powerful tool.
This status is not for selling your products and services, it is for letting your friends know what’s going on. However you can start the selling process of very subtly and under the radar without spamming.

The status bar will help with your lead generating, if done correctly

This is where you can talk to all your friends; this message will be posted on your wall, for all your friends to see it.

Also you can leave messages on your friend’s wall build good relationships
with people and then you can introduce your business later.

Update your status bar at least once per day with a good positive message about what you are doing or a positive quote.

You can also let people know about your business through the message bar, however this should be in a subtle way not as a blatant pitch, for example-

“Come and Join me and we will all earn tons of cash, it’s the best compensation Plan and it’s the best thing since sliced bread we will all get rich, join now Follow my link now please” That is Spam!

This is what I call under the radar and it will generate you more leads in the long run.

Hi all just working on an article on how to teach people how to generate between 23 to 50+ free leads per week just by using Facebook. Will let you know when it ready, Maybe. Start creating curiosity.

Plan your campaigns and introduce them through, your status bar in-between your every day post.

Facebook Lead Generation and giving value.

Always be thinking about giving value when lead generation is at the fore front of your mind build the foundation first.

The Power of Your Facebook Friends

As we already know Facebook is an Awesome marketing tool when used correctly. And one of the most important [laces on your profile is the Status bar, and as the name suggest, this is your chance to be heard.
This can make or brake you when marketing on Facebook. Here are a few pointers to help you with status bar.
The first thing to remember is that the status bar is not a billboard, don’t slap advertisements all over it every single day. Not only will it put people off you, you may get Banned by Facebook if they think you are spamming.
Your Daily Facebook Task
Every day you come up with a killer strap line that evokes interest

in what you are doing and it creates curiosity among your friends and others.
Positive Quotes are fantastic for getting the conversation going.
My favourite: “When riches come they come so Quickly and in such grate Abundance that one wonders where they have been hiding during all those lean year.” Napoleon Hill Think and Grow Rich

You can find more quote from the personal development page of this site use them that’s why they are there.
Adding MLM Friends Will Be key to Your Success
When I first got started on Facebook I thought the name of the game was to get as many friends as possible. Wrong! What we are looking for are players, savvy Internet marketers and the big MLM hitter we are also looking for people in our niche.

A Good Way To Find Friends When You First Start
Don’t just go steaming in and start making friends sit down and think,

What is my strategy going to be? What type of market am I in? Who are the big players in my field and what are they doing?
The best way to add friends for your business is to go into a group who’s

members are your target market. If you are in MLM then go into groups that

cater for MLM and start to make friends with them. Just go to the search bar
and type in MLM or Home Business or whatever your niche is . Pick a group, read a little about the said group and join make sure that it is not full of Spam and join. You are joining the group for two reasons.
1) To find friends in your niche

2) To make friends with the administrator for future JV

SO click the link that says 'show all members'.

You will see the thumb print of the person then send a request adding a personal message along these lines.” Hi John just found you on Quality mlm People, looking to connect with like minded people and share ideas“.
Short and sweet, however you will be in the 5% that do that and you are already setting yourself apart from the crowed.
Do not do connect with more 25 to 50 max people per day. Facebook don't

like it and they will wipe your account if they feel you are spamming or going too fast. Don’t  just click one after the other mix it up a bit, Be human not a bot, make friends and have fun.
5 Daily Activities that will build Your MLM Business

1) A new message every day in your status bar ,people know you are active

2) Add between 20 and 50 new friends daily

3) Leave messages ( you want people to see you as a leader) on group wall  join as many good  groups as you can handle

4) Leave messages on friend's wall connect with people.

5) Set a time limit and stick to it. Facebook will eat your time if you let it. no more than 1 hour per day if possible
