Inviting Facebook friends
I always email before I send a request. You want to know if they are active and, if they respond to your request, why? Plus you are in a conversation straight away.
Once they have responded then send a friend request. Always split them into a niche/ micro group.
Example: If they like personal development and MLM then create a list for each niche. This takes time but it is powerful, especially when you are talking to a group of people.
Facebook is a marketers dream. You can find out what people like and then talk to them about that subject.
Start uploading good content everyday find your niche and talk to them through Video. Let people see the real you, warts & all, be natural.
The mistake I made was trying to be something that I
was not.
I found that it did not work for me.
A quick video on inviting all your friends to events and to join groups
This is the biggest mistakes that
I made when I first started out on Facebook.
Like a mad man getting as many friends as
I could without separating them into them micro niches.
Don’t Make The same Mistake!
1. Learn to recruit up on Facebook
Finding leaders to work with and promote your business on Facebook will play a big part in your Facebook success.
The reason for this is they have a following that know, like and trust them, and simply by association people will start to know, like and trust you.
You will also get brownie points because if they are popular and see you connecting and conversing then you start o bank Facebook Credits in people’s eyes again, through association.
Should you play a video of Tony Robins on a subconscious level people will associate you with Tony Robins.
So the game plan is to befriend good influence-rs.
The best way is to find ‘good people’ is to look at the creators and administrators of groups.
Look at fan pages and profiles of people.
Things to do-
- Start good conversations with emails.
- Ask them to be your friend
- Follow what they say, like their stuff and interact with them-not in a ‘kiss ass’ way, but on the same level.
- Promote them to your group and friends.
- Be honest, they are only human.
Here is a quick Video showing how you can find good people.
Setting yourself apart
by sending emails reply
2. Sending confirmation E-mails
When you get a friend request, Don’t Just Accept, take a look at the person and if they are cool and in your niche, then send them an e-mail asking them questions about themselves and always end with an open question, e.g. ‘What do you do for a living?’.
Branded Video Email
A nice little Facebook touch
Send a video e-mail, branded to you or at least a video just introducing yourself face to face, so to speak.
Now, who you are talking to depends on whether they get a Generic video. Just say ‘Hi (No name) or give them a personal message (this all depends on time).
Keep your videos short and sweet, to the point and always finish with a Call to Action.

Graham,
Excellent post on how to overcome the FB madness and create a nice Niche for yourself! I have used a few of your strategies in the past and I agree, you really have to set yourself apart from the “rest” of the crowd and especially the Spam crew we face everyday!

Yep, Jeff I was once a click and invite merchant, some of the people that I added as friends well ,lets just say they were and are not interested in my products or services, so no point adding them .
